too skinny?
My weight was endangering my health. I wanted to lose as much as possible and keep it off.
This isn't about looks. I didn't care if I ended up with no butt or boobs. I wanted to lose weight so I didn't die. Why have surgery to only lose some weight? Your husband's preference isn't important and shouldb't be a consideration.
Maybe surgery isn't the right choice for you.

This is so true. Her husband is either telling her that he prefers her "plump" because he doesn't want to hurt her feelings, or he doesn't care about the health consequences that being fat carries. Either way, his opinion is irrelevant.

he says "only a dog wants a bone "
It is inappropriate, misogynist, and shaming to talk about women, or their bodies, this way. Thin women are "bones?" How disgusting and gross. I'd find your husband inappropriate to talk about as well!
You're "fat and ashamed" but you don't want to get "malnourished" or "skinny" because your husband likes "plump" women and, apparently, health consequences be damned. Good luck with that.

FYI, I didn't talk down to you. I do think you have some unrealistic fears and expectations and from your post you don't seem at all educated about surgery. Also FYI, I don't care in the least what anyone in Europe and Australia do, and Instagram isn't a source I would utilize.
As for your snide comment about depression: back that **** up. I more than most am all too aware of depression's cost and consequence. Go ahead and block me. I'm done with you.

I am in Europe. It is most certainly not cosmetic here. I was approved, insurance fully covered it and there are thousands who are getting the sleeve or the RnY here in Europe (I know of people in the UK, France, Belgium, Spain, Germany and Greece personally) who have had WLS and it was not considered cosmetic but life saving medical necessity.
