too skinny?
Thanks Nessie!!!!!!!!!ts true but the delay are the weigh ins some insurances require more than 6 months of weigh ins and an MD supervised diet plan. With self pay its one or two . so you save 4 months . To keep his credentials he wouldnt call it a cosmetic however to me a healthy person needing to lose 50lbs sounds cosmetic.
Um here in Belgium if you meet the medical requirements then it is all covered 100%. Plastics too are covered 100% when it is for reconstruction after massive weight loss. My surgeon does take on self pay patients - people come from all over the world for his services. But they must meet the requirements set forth by the Belgian health system in order to have a WLS procedure. I'd post the link, but I don't want to translate the French for you. Having the $$ doesn't mean you get the procedure you want. This is not like going through a drive through and deciding since you have the coupon you'll take an extra order of fries with that!
FYI self pay doesn't make it a cosmetic procedure. You are spouting complete BS and clearly you have no idea besides what you read on Instagram of just what in the hell you are talking about. Plenty of folks meet the medical requirements but self pay because their insurance doesn't cover it. That is an entirely different debate.
If you are using a surgeon who views any WLS procedure that way then I urge you to run far far away. WLS is no joke. BTW - it also isn't the easy way. Please do more research.

I'm scared to answer your question;you may attempt to argue with me and I'm done arguing I much rather read journies like yours
unfortunately on this site it's easier to learn tips by clicking and reading than asking and interacting but to sum up your answer similar reasons you had
Many many more people do not reach their goal weight than truly get "too thin" (a BMI under 18). And yes, it is definitely possible to gain weight after weight loss surgery. Sadly when some people try to gain a little, they end up gaining it all back and more.

I would advise you to avoid WLS. I believe your expectations aren't in line with the reality of what surgery will bring.
Have you seen a doctor yet or been to a seminar? You can definitely regain as much weight as you want after surgery. All it takes is reverting back to eating what made you fat.

If you can already stick to a diet and work out regimen then why do you need weight loss surgery?
