I Used dr Shillingford in boca raton fl. It was $10500, including two nights 3 days in hospital, all preops with the exception of radiology (168$ which my ins covered) and an amazingly supportive staff. He did consults over the phone for me, I never felt rushed or like a sales call. They were great! I put it on my card, paid it off immediately and used my points for airfare and hotel to travel to FL.

I am in the DFW area and I was cash pay. The surgeon was 10,200 for RNY. The hospital I shopped around for, and the cheapest I found, was Grand Prairie General- it was 8000. The anesthesia was around 2300.

I was lucky because my insurance covered all the pre-op tests... they just needed NOT to be billed as WLS related.
