Three weeks out from surgery and have stopped losing weight
I Started my weight loss after surgery at 398 lbs. At 2 weeks i was down to 371. I am still there a week later. I was changed to a soft foods diet by my doctor at my initial 2 week diet. I have attempted to keep up the same activity level each day. My calories sit around 500 a day. Anyone have any suggestion have I possibly sent my body into starvation mode with such low Calories.
Welcome to the ubiquitous 3-week stall, James! If you do a search on this site for "3 week stall" you will get several thousand hits because the topic has been asked and answered ad nauseum.
P.S. Starvation mode is a myth. I'm certain you are doing fine and will soon find yourself losing weight again. Read all the information on 3-week stalls and don't sweat it. You'll be fine
Totally normal - welcome to the club! (And starvation mode is a myth.)

omg...i thought I was alone.... I thought something was wrong. I too am 3+ weeks post op and have only lost 1 pound this past week. I have been so good about what and when I eat and could not understand why the weight stopped coming off... I am down 25 pounds post op and 22 pre-op... looking forward to the continued weight loss.
