Fiber Chews-Never Heard of em/where do I get em?

So, I struggle with constipation allllllll the time.  I am sorry, but it is the truth.  I tried adding a bunch of greens to my diet, trying to aid in the process the natural way, but that isn't working.

I take Benefiber 2x's a day and still nothing.  I was told taking Colace is ok and I can have up to 6 tablets a day, which I do.  I want to be able to go once a day-is that unrealistic?  I have around 500-700 calories a day.  Do you think I am not going because of my calorie intake?  Someone told me I need more whole grains???  I am confused.  I am down 82 lbs since Dec. 2014.  My liquid intake is not what it should be-do you think that is the problem?

Someone told me about these fiber chews-and I just read a thread on here about them.  What are they and can anyone tell me where you can get them and how many you can take in a day please.

Taking Benefiber without enough liquid will bind you up terribly.

Don't bother with chews but do add two Citrucel fiber tablets in the morning and two at night.

They are a fiber that works extremely well and also do not cause gas.  I went to a colorectal specialist and that is how he "cured" me.

You definitely need plenty of liquid for the fiber to do its job.  See if a few days on Citrucel does not change everything for you.

Chews of any sort are loaded with carbs. If you are backed up take some Milk of Magnesia to clean out and start fresh with the Benefiber. It is one of the best out there. Add a little fiber to your diet like retried beans.

Fiber has the opposite effect on me. It constipate me.  I use Miralax. Every day. And magnesium.

SAME HERE.

I used to believe the hype about fiber -- I had terrible constipation after surgery and tried every fiber supplement and drank so much water it was insane.  I really felt that I was doing something wrong -- but I wasn't.  The surgeon and my bariatric doctor insisted that for many people, fiber causes constipation -- and that I could drink gallons of water and still be backed up.

From that day on, I take miralax (actually prescription polyethylene glycol-- which is exactly the same as over-the-counter Miralax, but covered by insurance) twice day and take magnesium if I go more than 24 hours without a movement.  I am completely regular now.  No fiber for me.

Anyhow, if you are still interested -- these are the best tasting chewable fibers tablets I found (and I tried every fiber known to man) and they are sugar free and low in carbs:

HAHAHA Chili -- me too!  I had terrible gas and yet, somehow, took a full bottle of taking them to realize it.  They did taste the best though -- and by all accounts, have the best "type" of fiber in them (especially for weight loss) --

But, I (and my family) are so much happier since I ditched the fiber!
