problems over 2 yers out with bloating
I had problems 2 years out and I had to see a GI Doctor, which was a blessing because the gastric bypass doctor wasn't concerned that my pain was awful and I had extreme vomiting, after an MRI turned out my intestine had almost closed and was only the size of a straw coming off the pouch. No Food or liquid could get through. I was immediately sent to the ER and had surgery to correct the area, which stretched the intestines open.
I am 9 years out now, and started having some of the same symptoms, vomiting, pain, sore throat. I went in and now have a hernia and something called a Candy Cane. Both have stretched my pouch out and allowed me to gain the weight back......awful. i am on my way to another surgery to correct all the issues in the next few weeks.
Your insurance should cover since your issues are gastric bypass related most likely. Good luck. Sherry
I had gastric bypass 9 years ago, but in my 2nd year after dropping 159lbs, I begin to have problems with hurting, vomiting, etc. Turned out I after going to a GI that my intestine off the pouch had closed to the size of a straw. i was rushed into surgery because if it ruptured I could have died and the gastric bypass doctor had blown me off. Now I am having more surgery to correct a candy cane and a hernia that have stretched my pouch out, which is causing me lots of pain, vomiting, nausea, sore throat.
Sorry your insurance will not pay for it, but I would go to a GI, and let them do an MRI.
Google SIBO and FODMAP diet. IBS-C can be caused by SIBO. following FODMAP free diet - plus low carbs and low fiber - cna really make a huge difference.
I does for me.
avoiding sugars., sugar alcohols, milk, etc.. is a big deal for me.
