Upcoming Surgery on 9-14

Read back through the forums, you'll find all sorts of useful information.
If you want to know if you should lose weight, ask your surgeon; he/she will have information specific to your health and your procedure.

VSG 2013, RNY conversion 2019 due to GERD. Trendweight here!
If they haven't said anything re: losing weight, then they may not require it. My centre doesn't, but some do. The details vary pretty widely between surgical centres, so although you can find some general consensus here (ie, protein first) there are going to be some details that no one can answer (unless they happen to have gone to your centre).
My centre recommended a few books to prepare for surgery. I personally have found this book to be the most useful. It provides an overview of pretty much everything they talk about in all of the one-on-one meetings and has a few recipes to boot.
By the way, you may know this, but there is also a VSG forum. If you have sleeve-specific questions, those folks may be able to help.
Good luck!
