Nope.

Aspartame gives me headaches.  Splenda makes me itch...

I drink Diet Coke or Diet Mountain Dew daily. I  started drinking them again after I got to maintenance at 15 months post op. I had been drinking them prior to RNY. In fact I have been drinking diet sodas forever since Tab and Fresca came onto the market. I eat a healthy Lacto-Ovo Vegetarian diet. My only vice is diet soda. Even though I am very health conscious, I allow myself this one indulgence. I never experienced any ill side effects. I know their is no nutritional value in diet soda and I felt all the studies performed were biased and unrealistic. It's my choice, my body, and I don't need the government or any body of so-called nutritional experts to tell me I can't drink them.     I do read and am interested in any new and realistic studies on the ill effects of diet soda that are not filled will hype and scare tactics. P. S. my pouch has not exploded from the carbonation...LOL

Girl, you're not the only one *****members TAB! I remember that soda came in a pink can, it was so obvious who their target audience was. No self respecting man was gonna drink anything out of a pink can. LOL

Honey I still drink diet soda, as long as it didn't have drain cleaner or anything else equally harmful, I'll drink it. I only drink it in moderation though.

This could be my post, word for word, except replace lacto-ovo vegetarian with lacto-carnivore.

I had stopped for a long time, but drink diet sodas all the time. Delicious.

I am also sick of hypocrites who bemoan the caffeine and acid in diet soda yet suck down acidic, caffeinated coffee all day long...

I'm with you, Diet Coke is my only vice. I wear my seatbelt and my bike helmet, I've never smoked/gotten drunk/done drugs, and otherwise live a pretty boring life. I think I'm ok with my diet soda :)
