Billy button incesion looks open and yellow

hello all

I did vertical gastric sleeve, and today is my 14th day after surgery. When the doctor removed my  staples. the belly bottun incision started to drain yellow liquid. After 5 days the draining become less, but thr incesion looks open. It is covered with yellowish matter. It is still wet. Is this normal. The other incesions are closed and fine. Any advice???

Give your surgeon a call, s/he can let you know if you need to come in and get it looked at.

Even better, take a picture of it and text it to your surgeon.  Visuals always help.  It sounds like you may have a little infection, but only your doc can tell for sure.

Have you called your surgeon's office about your incision and the draining?  Anything that comes up like this newly post-op is worth a phone call, especially with the weekend starting tomorrow.

i took a picture and sent it to my surgon he said everything is fine. He said these are dead tissues
