Advice for Protein Drinks for a Beginner
In my short journey so far, the Nectar powders themselves are pretty disgusting, regardless of the concentration or mixture. I prefer the Matrix - it mixes better, I don't notice the funky smell, and most of all, seems to be much more palatable.
I'm on a peach smoothie or strawberry smoothie kick right now - yogurt, some 2% milk, some frozen fruit, and the powder. Makes a fine lunch. MyFitnessPal says it's in the 380 calorie range; I get my protein, and to keep the Doc happy, some carbs from the fruit and fats from the 2%. I know, I could use 1% or even skim, but ..... Eww.
But heck... If the Nectar works for you, then that's outstanding!
