Need Proof That I Attended Weigh****chers
Hi Everyone,
I'm new to this group and finding out more about WLS. I've consulted with a surgeon and one of the prerequisites before surgery is to provide evidence that I have attended Weigh****chers for 6 months or longer.
I actually attended two separate times, many years ago. I've tried to reach them by the telephone number provided on their website, but no one ever answers.
Has anyone ever had to do this, and if so, how did you go about getting the information?
I appreciate any help you can provide.
Thanks!
I called the corporate number, I forget where I got it from. They were only able to give me proof from when I was on the prepay plan when it is charged to your credit card. They sent me an email with he documents attached. I didn't always do that and went on periods where I paid cash. They said I could try going to the actual center I used and they might be able to bring something up on their computer. I never ended up doing that because I didn't need it.
I don't know if this is the phone number I used, but I actually live near their corporate headquarters and this is what I found:
(516) 390-1400
on the website the number is: 800-651-6000.
Hope that helps
Good Luck.

How long is "many years ago?" Not sure if you need proof for the surgeon or for the insurance company, but many insurance companies require this sort of thing to be within the past two or three years.
Did you attend meetings in person? Can you visit the building and speak to an admin person?

You might want to get some more information about what sort of documentation and/or diet is needed. Lots of people here do their "medically supervised diet" by simply tracking their food and exercise, and checking in with their GP once a month. That was more than adequate for my insurance, and far cheaper than WW!

I just needed 6 months of 'weights' which they were able to get some from my GP and some from my appointments with them...
