Hey,

I am not doing a very good job of journaling my food intake.  I really need to get better at it, because I am having some issues.  I have started a journal several times and I am not good at it.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  I feel like I would do a better job of doing tha if I had an app on my phone.  If anyone knows of some good apps please let me know.

Thanks!  :)

My Fitness Pal is great.  They make it easy to track everything.  You can even make your own recipes and it breaks them down with the protein, fats, and carbs.  They have a lot a commercial products and restaurant items in there and there is even a bar code scanner to make it even easier!

MyFitnessPal in my opinion is the best app for it! I'm terrible with journaling but haven't missed a day with that app, currently on day 85 :)

I agree, MyFitnessPal is awesome. It's free. It tracks food, weight, measurements, goals, micronutrients, macronutrients. You can enter your own recipe, a recipe on the web, or look up one of the many foods they have prolonged. I was really surprised they have nutritional info for a small Indian restaurant in my city.

Another recommendation for My Fitness Pal; it was tough at first to get into the habit for me to log my food day in, and day out..but it gets easier and becomes a part of your day.

The scanning abi.ity on the app is SO freaking cool...I love it!

Yet another vote for My Fitness Pal.  I use the app on the phone to record most of my food throughout the day, and then use the website for recipes.  It has a really nice feature where if you use a recipe found online, you can put in the URL and it will extract the nutrition info.  It makes it really easy.
