Low Blood Sugars.... 10 weeks Post Op
Because of my PCOS, I am still on Metformin. Well, I just took my blood sugars test and I'm at 73! Is there something I can eat to bring up my number? I'm a low carb gal and don't like the idea of quick sugar fixes... What's a good way to maintain my levels? My surgeon only wants 3 meals a day. No snacks and 16 oz of protein shake daily.

I would not consider 73 too low, but I would talk to my doctor about it, and see if you should adjust your meds. You might need to adjust what you are eating, and especially the frequency. Three meals and no snacks doesn't work for most people.
Are you having low blood sugar symptoms? Most people don't have issues until they get close to 50 or the 40s, but there is variation between individuals.
Edited to add: My fasting blood sugars are in the low to mid 70s every morning, so that's normal for me. Before meals during the day it's usually 80s, and 110 or so after eating.

A glass of milk will be a quick fix. You will trade off your natural sugar for added protein.
Grimm -73 is pretty low for someone functioning on high bs for so long, but theoretically should become somewhat the new norm over time. 73 for me would now present as freezing cold and perhaps a little spacey. I function better around 85-90. But who knows in another 30-50pds it won't be so odd feeling to bee that low.
