I'm looking for ideas for snacks. I used to grab fruit. So easy. Now, no protein!  I looked on Shelly's and Nikki's page but I see more meal type things. I know the normal cheese, protein bars, shakes, nuts, but II'I'm mored with those. I'm looking to see if anyone has anything else new, exciting,  and easy.

I know Nikki's page Bariatric Foodie, but what is Shelly's page? Just curious...

Thank you! I will have to check that one out as well! I'm 2 1/2 weeks post-op and just learning about all these recipes!

Ribeye. Get it bone-in, and you have a built in handle. Very portable.

Speaking of Ribeye's I just found a local farm that raises black angus grass fed only beef and they have their own USDA certified processing facility.

They dry age their beef for 30+ days and for special occasions will  sell tomahawk ribeyes, meaning they leave the entire 2ft rib bone attached.  My husband wants one as he loves to naw on the bone after eating the steak.

This might be worth a trip to Connecticut. Maybe the next time I go to Manchester.

The farm is in Foster, RI about 15 mins from CT.  I am going to e-mail the owners and see about getting some.  I'll let you know the outcome.

My current favorite snacks:  Jack Links Jerky, Laughing Cow cheeses (I like to spread some on turkey pepperoni), Dannon Lite & Fit banana or vanilla yogurt with PB2, moon cheese (found these crunchy delights at Starbucks), Sonoma Jacks lite cheese wedges, Quest bars (when traveling), deli turkey or ham rolled up, sliced avocado with salt and pepper. I don't eat fruit anymore except for an occasional banana after a long run.
