Definitely get on the pregnancy forum.  You're going to have to add calories to your diet for a couple of reasons:

  • It takes extra energy to grow a people-puppy
  • You MUST keep your body out of ketosis, for the ketones your body produces as a byproduct can be toxic to your baby.
  • No playing around with necessary protein and vitamins - no ifs ands or butts.

I ended up having a chemical pregnancy (early miscarriage) so no baby. bummed, but lesson learned. However, I did speak with my surgeon before finding out about the chemical pregnancy & they actually said to not change my diet? To continue on as if I had been.
