sorbet? yes please
Hey, don't wag that finger at me, missy. I'm closing in on my six servings -- as long as we're doing calendar year measurements, and not fiscal year.
6'3" tall, male.
Highest weight was 475. RNY on 08/21/12. Current weight: 198.
M1 -24; M2 -21; M3 -19; M4 -21; M5 -13; M6 -21; M7 -10; M8 -16; M9 -10; M10 -8; M11 -6; M12 -5.
I will probably do the same next year, because I ended up having to talk to a nurse on the phone about my eating habits (and she was clueless about gastric bypass surgery and postop nutrition)! It was a short conversation once I explained, but it was still a pita and I don't feel like justifying my eating plan to some stranger hired by my employer.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

You would need to use a lot of fruit to get a cup of "ice cream". One banana is over 100 calories and 25 grams of sugar/carbs.
I use my ninja to blend a protein "frosty". Fill the cup with ice, add about 1/2 cup of unsweetened cashew milk, a scoop of chocolate protein powder, a teaspoon cocoa powder, a teaspoon instant coffee, and a packet of stevia. Blend until the ice is slushy. I eat it with a spoon and it feels like I'm eating ice cream.
Skip the fruit until you are at goal.
Buy Sugar Free syrups from Torani or DiVinci. They make all fruit flavors (strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, blackberry, banana, coconut, etc.) as well as Peppermint Paddy, Irish Cream, Pumpkin, Dulce De Leche, Caramel, Chocolate, Coffee, Salted Caramel, Kahlua, and on and on - 40+ flavors. There is even maple syrup SF which I love in whole oatmeal.
www.theworldaccordingtoeggface.com has great protein ice cream recipes that I used the first few years after RNY.
Best Wishes
