We are very sorry to hear all you are going through. Here are a couple of links that can help you with appealing your insurance denial. We also can give you some links to financing if you want and or having surgery in Mexico as an option if you are interested.

Hope you are able to appeal!  what was their reason for denial?

Is it covered under your insurance plan? If not, no amount of appeals will change their decision. I hope you are able to find a way to get the surgery.

Agree with the above posters -- your chance of a successful appeal depend on the reason for the denial. If your plan just doesn't cover bariatric surgery period, then an appeal won't help. If it does cover surgery but they don't think you meet their criteria for medical necessity, then you have a better shot. I first planned for surgery in 2012 and was going to do it self-pay because my insurance at the time had an exclusion for any weight loss surgery, for any reason, regardless of medical necessity. Fortunately by waiting until I had a new job with better insurance, I saved a lot of money, and my husband and I were able to do it at the same time. I hope you find a route that works for you!
