Recovering in the ICU

It's after 3 pm and I'm recovering on the ICU.  Anesthesia wasn't bad at all,  but the gas makes me feel like having chest pains.

The sooner you can walk the better, and the more you walk the less the gas will bother you. When I was recovering the gas pain was in my chest bad and combined with the anxiety over it, they though I was actually having a heart attack. They called the code and had the whole crash team there, which made it even worse. Funny looking back at it, not so much at the time however.

Congrats on the surgery and good luck with recovery !!

Yeah, you made it!

Is it normal to be in the ICU or was there a hiccup? Hopefully they were able to do it laparoscopically.

It's not normal but not anything to be alarmed by. We are MO and sometimes the surgery can be a little tough on our systems.

Congratulations!!

Looking forward to watching your progression!
