8 Months out

I'm not sure I've ever posted a progress report here, so here we go.

I'm 8 months out and as of today I've lost 200lbs with the DS surgery. My BP and cholesterol are good without meds and no more sleep apnea. I started at 469 and down to 269, lose another 35lbs and I'll have lost 1/2 my bodyweight. WOW.

I do take a lot of vitamins but I've got a system down and my numbers are all looking great. I've been walking and riding my bike. i tried running but bad discs in my back told me that wasn't going to work :( That also goes for weightlifting as of right now. Even with the back injury I'm way more active than before and look for ways to get more "activity" exercise rather than avoiding it. Like taking the steps or parking father away from the store.

Thanks for all the advice and info I've seen and read even if I didn't comment on all the posts that helped :)

Biking is WAY better than running, IMO! I can barely run for a few minutes without stopping, but I can ride 40 miles in one go with no trouble. Congrats to you!!
