Blood clot?

I will be 6 weeks out from VSG on Tuesday. For the past two days, I have had slight pain in both shins. It really feels like muscle pain to me and it doesn't feels like muscle pain I've had in the past. But I didn't really do much more walking or anything than I normally do now, and it usually doesn't last more than like a day.

They are only sore when I walk on them and it gets better when I walk. I have no redness, swelling, warmth, or anything visible on either calf. There's been no sharp pains or anything. It's more what I'd consider sore than painful. It is just kind of freaking me out because it's lasted so long. I'm nervous! I plan to call my doctor in the morning but the office isn't open yet. I kind of feel like I'm overreacting and don't wanna go to the ER because I'll end up paying $200 for them to tell me I just have sore muscles.

Does it sound like a clot?

This is nothing to fool around with. You need to contact your doctor and not in the morning. Doctors have answering services.

Just contact your surgeon's office, but to me it does not sound like a clot.  The fact that you have them in both shins is not indicative or a clot.  It sounds more like shin splints.  DVTs, when I have had them, hurt.  Not just sore, and if you rub it its way worse.

This being said, I would still call.  Just to be sure.  We are not medical professionals and do not know everything to look for.
