For most people the first three days are the worst. Are you drinking protein shakes too?

Question---how fast and how much are you drinking? I found that if sipped slowly (1 oz every 15 mins) it staved off any hunger pains for me... I found that if I downed a large amount of fluid at once I would suddenly get super hungry.

The first 3 days were the toughest for me.
It helped to have warm tea ..... Something warm felt more soothing.
It also, helped to brush, gargle and floss a few times a day ... Clean mouth made me less hungry.
It also, helped to take a hot bath ... With a cup of tea or other drink .... Again, kept me out of the kitchen and then I went to bed early.

I wasn't sure if you were allowed broth -- but since you are, I will also say that I added just a touch (a few drops) of picante sauce to chicken broth -- just to make it more savory -- and make it taste a little bit like 'food' ---
Hang in there -- it does get better --- your body is basically de-toxing from sugar/carbs/possibly caffeine ---- so, you might feel crappy or headachey for a few days ---- just do the best you can.
Remember that in the big picture, these few weeks are just a blip of time ---- and the reward is great.
Day 3 and I am not feeling to terribly bad this morning, I have dropped 5 pounds, I am so thankful for all of you that have taken the time to post something encouraging to me. I just felt like I was all by myself. The one person that I do communicate with had the surgery and did not do the two week pre-op diet. So thank you all so much. This morning I am going out to cut the grass. Have a great day.
