"Pizza"
Ive made 2 small crusts out of a small handful of grated cheese dropped on a parchment paper and melted till brown at the edges in my toaster oven (or real oven works fine). cool a couple min and wahla. Instant crust (about the size of a 2-3" cracker), the parchment paper makes it come off really easy! Then lift the topping off one slice from my boys pizza and drop it on my "cracker crust" and ive got my own WLS friendly pizza. Really easy and not guilt inducing as an occasional treat.

That's a really good idea! Never thought of that! I have taken the toppings off before but not something I do very often but would work on those crazy days when your craving pizza and your family just happens to be wanting pizza too! LOL Thanks for the idea!!
I have eaten just the toppings once those things were on my plan. Pizza was always been my favorite food before surgery. It still smells amazing, but to be honest, I could take it or leave it now. A few bites of topping goes a long way for me before I'm pushing it away.
Have also done my own cheese crust (usually cheddar since it will get nice and crisp) that is then topped with some deli meat, italian seasoning, and a little mozzarella. Makes a cute little pizza.
When you get to that point check out the cauliflower pizza crust. Great way to have the toppings you like and something to eat them on.
What has helped me along is whenever I see something I think looks good I try to figure out a way to get the flavor of whatever it is in a healthy way.
I got one of those spiral graters and I make zucchini noodles instead of pasta. Protein ice cream is another treat I love to eat. Eggface is a great place to go and get inspiration. Over time you will see how you can eat great and healthy and not feel deprived.
