I get to leave tomorrow!
They took me off of the IV and I'm down to oral meds. I'm keeping fluids down and drinking well. But the diet they have for me is both carb high and protein low. The only thing witha lot of protein in it is the ensure clear. It's got 7gms of prote in but it also had 43g of carbs. I have to cut it with water because it's so overly sweet. So it takes me 6 hours to get this stuff down.
My question is... at home I have a huge tub of unjury unflavored protein powder. How well does it dissolve in stuff? I'm gonna put it in everything. Can I put it in coffee? Broth? Apple juice? Anything I should know about how well it dissolves in certain temps?
She said it does not BUT you CAN'T reheat it...she said it'll be nasty, she also said to heat whatever you're going to heat first then add it; if that makes sense? So like cook the broth and then when done and off the stove add it to it. Oh she said 140degrees for heat is about as hot as it can go and not mess it up, cold no problems.

I use it, but it takes a lot of stir time to dissolve fully. You can put it in warm liquids like broth, just make sure they're not over 140 degrees. Anything over that and it congeals and clumps.
You shouldn't really be drinking apple juice - or any juice. Stick to foods that will aid in your healing and weight loss, which means protein. The only liquid calories my program allows are those from protein shakes. (And protein rich broths and soups while I was in the liquid phase.)
Isopure is a good clear liquid protein drink.

I thought you were talking about what you'd do when you got home from the hospital tomorrow in your original post. Sorry.
