What kinds or types of insurance are accepted for the surgery 

That's a million dollar question. Many Health Insurances are accepted. It all depends on what Health Insurance plan you have and what it allows. For example....people can have the same insurnance company but different plans. Some plans say they will not cover WLS when other do....each plan has what you have to do to qualify.

Ive been doing a lot of research on this to see if i am wasting my time by trying. I have found the best thing to do is call your insurance and ask. I know with my ins they cover it however they have a lot of criteria that you must meet.

If you have a surgeon in mind, call their office and ask what companies they work with (in general). However, there is a HUGE amount of variation in plans within each insurance company; some plans cover surgery, others exclude it entirely.
