Chewing gum a trigger?
I have been doing great with my eating until about 2 weeks ago. Since then it has felt like I am just getting hungry more and more frequently. I found myself snacking throughout the day. The only thing I can determine is different is that I have started chewing gum off and on. Has anyone noticed that gum affects your cravings?

Yes. Chewing makes more saliva and may increase gastric juices output ~ more acid ~ may cause more hunger.
Plus the SA in the gum may increase carbs craving.

What Hala said. I also believe the artificial sweetener in gum (and other things) makes me have more cravings.
