Vbg gone horribly bad
Well since 2008 and having the VBG I've been put to sleep 5-6 times to look down in my stomach to hear it looks a little inflamed. Still no answers to this date 3/15/2016 on why I'm still throwing up almost every day. I have found no Dr in Connecticut who will help. On 2/3/2016 I had to have my vocal cords operated on because they were so inflamed. I feel I'm at the end...there's no help. Its been almost 8 years of this and to be honest I feel throwing up is just part of my daily routine. I have gained weighed from depression meds so all this for?? Not sure where else to turn?
Why are you only looking for a surgeon in Connecticut? Call the Cleveland Clinic or Mayo Clinic for help. I know several people who had to go there from out of state for help.

Read Rocky's reply to you above. PM her if you want, and get some more info.
But before I gave up, I'd have my ass on the next plane to the Mayo Clinic.

Find the money. Get a second job, sell things, get a loan, do whatever it takes. Your life is at stake. The constant throwing up has caused major damage and may lead to esophageal cancer. If it does, you only have a 10% shot of beating it.

I also had the same problem. I had mesh adhere to the anastomoses. I was revised to RNY in 2002. I had the mesh removed in October in Illinois. Call Dr John Linn in Evanston Ill. He is a master in diagnosing us.
My stoma was wide open. Now it's back to the way it was when we first had our RNY.
Good luck

Tammy, Your life is at stake here. You can not sit by and do nothing. If you do nothing you will develop esophageal cancer from the damage the vomiting is causing.
Get a referral to any gastro specialist that you can. Make an appointment at Mayo clinic ( there are several throughout the country), or John's Hopkins, or Cleveland Clinic. I don't know where you live, but find a place that has doctors that know about bariatric revisions. I went to Dr. Michael Sarr at Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota. He saved my life.
Keep fighting and complaining until SOMEONE listens to you.
