Once you get approved for surgery, how long does the insurance approval last?

It said in my approval letter, but I forget exactly what it was. Something like 3-6 months or approval would need to be secured again.

It varies a lot. Some say 30 days, some say 9 months. But it's not an issue. Surgeons get extensions if it's necessary. It happens a lot.

Found out today my surgery can not be done before June 19th , but must be done before July 14th. Nurse suppose to call tomorrow with possible date. Learning that patience is truly a great virtue.
