I'm going to agree with many others and say don't add carbs. Doctors and nutritionists arent all knowing. Go with advice from the many successful veterans here. I'd love to know how many "failures" fail because of advice from their NUT's.
Sounds like your NUT is a fool.
I would take that advice with a grain of salt ... unless you would like to go into maintenance.
