Can't outrun a bad diet
Saw this article on continuing studies and reviews of the studies on this subject. I thought it was worth sharing.

Thanks for sharing this!! It's true...what makes us fat is what we eat. I was just saying to someone the other day...I remember way back in the 70's dieting did not include exercise......and people lost weight!! I agree people need to be more active for other reasons.
So true. I love exercise, and it's great for my health, but my diet is what controls my weight.

I'm learning this from this journey. I always counted on exercise to "allow" me to eat all the other things I wanted to, and could never figure out why I couldn't lose the weight I needed to and keep it off. It's the food, and the eating. I am exercising of course, but this time it's because I want to improve all over health and muscle tone and all that good stuff.

Nice article, forever I've been told that diet takes the weight off & exercise keeps it off. Nice to know exercise helps but it's what you eat that's more important. A runner with type 2 diabetes was the part that really interested me & is such a reminder that it's what you eat that makes the difference.
Still not returning my little Fitbit, luv this little thing! Besides a reminder to get more fit just for health benefits is a good thing, but it kills me that it keeps showing that I can have more calories just cuz I exercised! What a way to follow a stereotype!

Gosh darn it!, even in maintenance I guess I can't eat my cake & walk it off. LOL
