Newbie

I have my first consultation with the surgeon and a seminar tomorrow morning.  It is the first step towards WLS, if all goes well.  I have a chronic health problem that I am hoping won't disqualify me.  Will post a better intro and what the doctor said when I get home tomorrow.

Well, I was kinda down in the dumps Friday after my Seminar and consultation.  I didn't feel like doing anything Saturday either.

When I met with Dr. Turnquest after the seminar, what I KNEW would happen DID happen and I was STILL not prepared.  When I told him about my Autoimmune Hepatitis and the resulting Nonalcoholic Cirrhosis, he said he would have to get my records from my liver doctor and talk to him to see how much damage I have.  I never asked my liver doctor (didn't want to know I guess) but now I wish I had.  I see the dietitian June 5 and will find out if I can have the surgery then.  So, it is back to the old waiting game yet again.
