Gwen turned me on to this idea several weeks ago.  It is addictive and wonderful.  This is my first book and I'm grooving on it:

Wow, that is gorgeous - I totally want one. What kind of pencils/markers do you colour with?

You can print pages like that one for free online, I like printmandala.com.

I use fancy-schmancy colored pencils, I got this set for Christmas. You can usually find them at Michael's or Jo-Ann and use one of their "40% off any one item" coupons to get them cheaper.

OMG Julie, I went to the mandala site and you can even "colour" online! I would double-like this post if I could. ;)

I started with cheap Crayola watercolors with 24 pencils.  This turned out to be not enough colors for me.  So I splurged and bought these:

The quality difference between these and the Crayolas is significant.  Amazon sells them for about $35.00.

I did the same thing... I started out with a few crayons and when I saw how beautiful the drawings were I had to have more colors.  I splurged and bought these...

I bought markers because I have a thing about pencils always needing to be sharp.  Do these stay pretty sharp?

I'm not even going to bother with the cheap stuff - I have the worst luck with cheap pencil crayons splitting when I try to sharpen them. So pretty.
