Hi
Congratulations on your long term success! Way to go! If you have not done so already post this on the Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass Surgery Forum (RNY) so you can reach out to those that had the same surgery as you.
Good Luck

It really is what you are eating that is causing the problem. The biggest culprits are processed carbs ( bread, crackers, sugar, pasta, etc.) and sugar alcohols ( any ingredient that ends with 'itol) that are added to sugar-free foods. You can also get some serious gas from dairy if you are lactose intolerant. Try eliminating these foods one by one to see if things improve for you.
There is a pill called Devrom that can be ordered online. It will take care of the smell, but not the "noise".
What rocky said. Once in a while I'll have a day with a lot of processed csrbs, and boy, there's no hiding it. As for sugar alcohols, they clean me right out.

One day I noticed that my Celebrate bariactric vitamins were sweetened with sugar alcohols. I switched to a brand without sugar alcohols and eliminated most of my problem. Eating carbs will also do it to me, but much less than early out.
A trick I learned a long time ago is if you can get your head lower than your behind the gas will escape quietly and odorlessly though your mouth. If I get gas in public I find a place to bend over and tie my shoe or adjust a sock or sandal. Getting my head down for a few seconds usually gets rid of the gas.
That little trick has made being in public much easier for me.

Which brand did you switch to? I'm having a similar issue that I think might be related to the Celebrate vitamins.
