Internal hernia

I just got home from spending three days in the hospital due to an internal hernia. I was traveling in Jamaica when I got the most excruciating stomach pain.  Once I got home and into the ER I was rushed into surgery to fix two internal hernias.  Has anyone else ever had this complication after GB surgery?  And if so how long did it take for you to recover?
