Surgery in Mexico

I am planning on having my surgery VSG in Tijuana Mexico in about 10 months. I have never traveled out of the country. Anyone else have their surgery there? Thoughts? Safety?

Hi Brittany. I had my VSG done there, and it was a great experience from start to finish- don't be nervous! Check out the Mexico forum here, there's lots of stories and reviews including mine.

In fact, I was just in Mexico a month ago getting my nose done- that came out great too btw ;p

Medical tourism is big business there and its a well oiled machine- I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at the efficiency, quality of care, and service.

VSG on 01/19/15 with

My surgeon for my vsg was Dr. Alejandro Lopez, and it was done at Vida hospital in Tijuana (beautiful facility).
