Scared
My surgery is scheduled for June 16 2015 and I have been working on losing some of the weight before the surgery and it is not going well whereas Im not gaining I havent been losing either I have changed my eating habits cut out the carbs more protein and more water and exercise I am scared that if I do not lose the surgery will be cancelled although I wasnt told by the surgeon or office that I must lose first several people I work with that has used the same surgeon have told me if I don't prove I can lose he wont do it.
Are you working with a nut? You need to verify what his protocol is. I know lot's of people can tel you lot's of things but it does nto make them true. My mom told me how special I was and it turns out I am pretty average like everyone else. Just a little humor. Please talk to them or their office.

Hey! I had my surgery on June 16th of last year! we will be surgery twins! haha
Anyways, I think you should contact your surgeons office... I know that with mine, I had a two week liquid boost diet (the diabetic ones...) I was only allowed 5 a day, in order to shrink my liver.. to be safer for the procedure. I lost 13 pounds in two weeks. I am not advising a fad diet by any means.. I am just saying, that was my experience, best of luck!
Thanks everyone for the input! I emailed my NUT yesterday and this is the reply I received......
"Hello- I'm glad you emailed-that is an important step:) Don't worry so much if you don't lose-the hope is that you don't gain more than anything. It sounds like you've made some positive changes-I will share this with Dr. Gluck. Don't worry-see you the 28th:) Erica" It has relieved me but I am still going to work on losing some before then
