what did you have during your first two weeks? re protein.
RTD = ready to drink.
These forums are an invaluable source of ideas. While you don't know what your surgeon will allow in the weeks following surgery, there are threads on different forums where members post their daily menus. (Look for the specific forums for Sleeve, RNY, Lightweights, etc. and look for those daily threads.). These are very helpful glimpses into the future, and al wealth if ideas for protein forward snacks, meals, etc.

Your best bet for getting all your protein in for the first two weeks is to get a good protein shake that you like the flavor of. Most of the other stuff you are given to eat (broth, jello, etc.) is just to give you some different tastes and flavors, you really are not getting much nutrition from them. The sugar free popsicles were my best friend the first two weeks (but my hubby had to eat al the ORANGE ones, I can't stand the orange flavor) and a good way to get fluids in slowly, but you get NO nutrition from them. I liked the ready to drink Premier Protein drinks the best because you got the most protein (30 grams per serving) for only 160 calories, AND they tasted very good to me.
