For our body, I'm only a few weeks out and it's the only thing I can tolerate now, I used to be able to drink lots of water before surgery and now it has a metallic taste to it, I try my hardest to drink plain water but I end up gagging, and I'm hoping this is temporary.

Try using a squirt of lemon or lime in your glass or bottle.

Any liquid counts, so I'd also recommend herbal iced teas as well as frozen popsicles.

It's all a personal choice, so don't give up.

It is and the faster you can get back to drinking water the better off you will be. Try drinking it at different temps. Or drop a lemon slice in it. Get bottled and don't drink tap.  Just try different ways

I agree; too many toxins in sugar free.  Herbal and decaf teas are good choices with antioxidants.  Fruit, mint, and vegetable infused water is also a good choice.  Best of luck to you finding what you life.

Vary the temperature, try tea, herbal teas and infusions, blend fruits like strawberries in to bottled water.

Thanks for posting this Grim - I have been wondering about these artificially sugary things I consume on a regular basis.  Didn't want to do anything that would ruin getting to goal.

The key word is artificial. Yuck!
