In the beginning I bought from Bariatric Advantage, but most recently I've been taking Centrum. My dietician said Centrum is fine but double the dosage. I do get iron from BA. Also, from BA I get the chewable calcium and a jar of the calcium crystals.

Those are on my comparison list! It's so much easier to compare when you print them out and see the vitamins and minerals all listed in order.

I am two and a half years out from a RNY I tried the expensive vitamins at first and then my surgeon said to try the Flintstones. My numbers have been great with them. Also, the dosage for an adult is one chewable and a child's dosage is a half chewable. I always gave my children a whole chewable. Oops!!
Well, I am only a little over 4 months out and I am using the vitamin patch at night, chew-able bariatric vitamins and calcium after meals, and I get a b-12 shot weekly. My lab**** right at normal for everything a few weeks ago with the exception of my thyroid. They are lowering my synthroid dose which makes me a little nervous. I think making sure you are getting all of the vitamins you need after this surgery is extremely important and would not risk it with children's vitamins. Most importantly, I would also talk to a professional that deals with post bariatric surgery nutrition. The last thing I want to be is skinny with brittle bones or teeth or have anemia or rickets or scurvy arrrrggghhh lol ;)
