I have attended nearly 10 ObesityHelp events, starting back in 2005..wow 10 years too! I really enjoyed meeting people who I interacted with on the forums in real life. Still connected to many of them, even beyond our shared weight loss surgery experience, we have many things in common. I still like going to them because things chance, new friends keep me informed on new surgery types and new protocols, new products. Back when I had WLS there weren't a lot of protein shake and vitamin companies.
I have Lipedema and Lymphedema. I also have a passion for Obesity and Health Insurance Advocacy.

Hi Janilynn! I will be at the North Carolina National Conference this year and I am looking forward to seeing many old friends and meeting new ones! The conferences are so much fun and you learn from lot's of the experts and from your peers as well. You will meet friends for life for sure! The product samples, vendors, the fashion show, the meet & greet , and the themed after party are not to be missed! As a staff member for ObesityHelp for more than 17 years, I have attended almost every single event and each of them have been worth the time and memories! Hope to see you thee!

Hi there Janilynn,
I am pretty new and just had my surgery last week. I am planning to attend in October - seems like a great even with lots of great speakers and events. It will be my first OH national conference!

Hello Janilynn!
Over the past 8 years, I've been at every OH event, and I am a little biased maybe, but these events have been one of the best things I have ever been involved in. Beyond being involved in the planning and onsite working of the events, I'm able to meet some of the nicest, most accepting people I've ever seen. You can truly feel the understanding and the support; not only from the general attendees, but also from the professionals who might be attending or even speaking.
I hope this helps anyone who is on the fence about attending, and you can meet people and find updates on our #2015 ObesityHelp National Conference Facebook page!
Come on down! We'd love to meet you!
