ObesityHelp is excited to share with you upcoming Forum Updates.

  1. New cleaner look to forums. This is especially visible on mobile.

   2.     New forums listing page that shows the number of topics/posts in each forum.

   3.     Implementation of “Like” buttons on forum posts.

  4.     Big revamp of the OH Notifications system

  1. You can now see notifications right from the OH header, by clicking the ‘Bell’ icon.

  2. Notifications are updated to look prettier

  3. Automatic “mark read” - you don’t have to manually mark them anymore!

  4. Mobile friendly - works just as well on your phone screen

  5. By default, you will also receive emails when they get new notifications. The emails are made prettier and also contain a link to the preferences page to unsubscribe

5.     Notification system integration for Messageboards

  1. When a member replies to your post in the messageboards, it now triggers a direct notification in the OH notification system that you can see from the header.

  2. The header notification contains the name of the thread and a preview of both your post and the reply.

  3. The notification is clickable - it takes you to the post

  4. The email will now get sent by the Notification system.

If you have unsubscribed from notification emails, you WILL NOT get notified by email when an MB reply comes in.

* To access this option click the “person” icon to the far right

* Settings

* Contact preferences

* Check the box for Email from ObesityHelp Members

* Save

 6.    Photo “Like” system (the little hearts) will also trigger notifications, and if opted in, emails.

Not sure if it's me or not, but the new upcoming changes looks like "MyFitnessPall" and the same with "Facebook" the way it is now there in some way or another. Not sure at this point in point let alone down the road that I'll like the "like" future on this site, only time will tell.

I dislike the implementation of a like button.  I believe that it stifles conversation.  I hope that this won't end up being the case on OH.

I am very happy with how cleanly the site now works for my iPad. In the past, it has not really worked well, and I had to find workarounds.  In the past, various windows and menus would open underneath ads, etc., so you could not see or use them.  For example, I could never use the search feature on my iPad.  Now it is much cleaner and actually works!  Thanks so much!

Looks and feels good to me.  And I see the like button is already much used.

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

missing info of the new release:

when looking at someone posting history- (latest posts) there is no longer a link to the specific post they person replied to: (there used to be one)

i.e. this show that person 2 separate posts - to 2 different topics...but no way in tehre are the topic's title with a link...

I thought about what you both said and wondered if I was eating too fast or too much to cause me to burping as often as I do. First thing this morning I took a swallow of water to take my medication, which is just one pill for my thyroid, and immediately burped after the sip of water. Again after each sip of my morning tea. I guess I'm getting air in my stomach when I drink anything, which could be causing me to burp.

I'm always burping since surgery. I mean, I burp A LOT and all the time. Is this common?

And on the main forum - when in my post - I Click the button " More" it only gives me option "Quote" and "Report" and i can't edit my post (ie. to correct spelling)
