Greetings,

I was a diabetic (type II) pre-op (281lbs)...almost lost my eyesight because of that.  I knew that I had to do something drastic. My last resort was RNY gastric bypass.  I heard about the lapband from my Dr., and that the success rate wasn't nearly as high as RNY gastric bypass...so I went for the gastric bypass RNY. 

I'm 7 yrs post-op, and have kept my weight off all these years.  It's an amazing feeling, and hopefully, you will have that feeling real soon.

Keep researching on the various WL surgeries.  Talk with your Dr. to see which one will best benefit you.
