Hormone Dumping - When can it Start?

Since I've come to this site, I've read many mentions of hormone dumping.  I'm only 8 days out from surgery.  Could it happen this soon in the process, or am I just getting out some pent up emotions?

To clarify - I can get weepy over sentimental movies, and even schlocky tv commercials.  So I'm not exactly stoic. :-)  but this is different. I've burst into full on heaving sobs several times since Sunday.  On one hand I've had a lot going on during the road to surgery so I could just be letting go of pent up emotions... But could it be hormone dumping at this early stage?

Yup, definitely.  Not to mention anesthesia can totally screw us up too.  Fun times, eh?

Uh yep.  Sounds very familiar.  I had a complete meltdown while I was still in the hospital.  Just recognize it for what it is, cry until you can't cry any more, and be good to yourself

Yeah, that early out, it could be the effects of anesthesia or the beginning of hormone dumping, or both.  The physical stress of surgery and the body trying to heal with almost no nutrition (and some grieving over food for some) also contributes.

It will fade. Keep the tissues handy and hang in there.
