Vega Protein & Green Vanilla shake
Went to Costco today to look at their selection of protein shakes. I picked up Vega Protein & Green Shake. Has anyone tried this. They also had another one that was organic and it was a to go one. It was coffee flavored, I was gonna get it but decided no. What are your thoughts on this one? its 20 grams of protein.

20g protein, 120 cal, 6 carbs, seems OK on the protein threshold (to my lay opinion).
No clue what they consider a "serving" of greens-- just the vitamins? I would expect a serving of veggies to have some bulk/fiber, but that doesn't seem to be the source with the powder stuff. Can't recall the source, but I believe I've read in the past that dried fruits and veggies can lose a considerable portion of vitamin C (?) when dehydrated.
If you like it and can drink it, seems like it would be just fine... but double-check with your doc if you're unsure.

I've actually had the cappuccino one you didn't buy. I originally bought it on Bariatric Eating, then I found it in Walmart. It is delicious, but low on the protein in my opinion. So I shake it with a little added plain protein.

Here is a link to the one I like that my local Costco now carries. I have bought it in Walmart, but it wasn't in the pharmacy section it was more by the almond milk, and tea and coffee (I don't have a super Walmart). I believe it was $5.99 there. That being said it only has 11g of protein. So I usually add 2 tsp of Genepro unflavored protein powder. Genepro is the best in my book, I buy it on Amazon usually, sometimes directly from the manufacturer. 1 TBSP = 30g protein. I usually throw my RTD shakes in a shaker cup with ice and in this case I add the 2 tsp powder and shake. I also buy Fit Frappe Mocha at my local Stop n' Shop grocery. It is in the diabetic section near Pharmacy.

Thanks for the link! I didn't realize they were ready-to-drink and yeah, 11g of protein does seem pretty low. One of the Vitamin Shoppes near me has started selling the big tubs of Syntrax Nectar. I picked up the chocolate truffle and the cookies and cream. I'm meh on the truffle and I haven't tried the cookie one yet. I have Isopure unflavored protein, so I might pick up the coffee RTD shakes and try putting some of that in to boost the protein.

You do know you have 30 days to return things to Vitamin Shoppe you don't like. You don't get your money back, but a store credit.
