I stopped taking BCP a few months ago to see if that would help with my copper issue. If it does, and I have to stay off BCP, I'm going to be begging my doc for ablation. My periods are horrible :(

I had it done about 10 years ago. I felt like bad cramps but the heating pad and sleep when I got home worked wonders. The next day or two it just felt like mild cramping. The mild cramping was worth it. You'll do fine.
Carpe Diem!

My Dr gave me a choice of the hospital or the Dr's office. I didn't want to get put to sleep so I chose the office. They gave me some pain pills and stuff before the procedure to take. It felt like extreme labor pains but it only was about a 8 minute procedure and I was awake the whole time. Right after the procedure, all I felt was cramps. I had this done probably 6-7 years ago and I would definitely do it again. In the beginning my period was literally only one day and one little spot. Now, I do have about a 5 day, very light cycle. Went from Useing super plus tampax to wearing only a panty liner. Some cycles I really don't need to wear anything.
Oh I so hope to have the same results. Thanks for your post. xoxo
