High risk issues!
I don't recall ever having a doctor that wanted me to die on the table so I would think your surgeon has already gotten a cardiac clearance for you if not ask him about it or your cardiologist or even Primary doc, but we aren't the ones to ask. Ask the ones who spent years in medical school, best of luck to you!
Hello, I have. Just wondering how people with similar commodities felt, and or have dealt with any unusual things that may have popped up in their journey.
My surgery date is fast approaching, and I am probably just getting needy for reassurance…I must say I do have questions I will ask my team as a result of joining this wonderful forum…for this I am thankful. Here in Toronto it takes one year for the medical team to Ok a surgery. I have addressed this forum after that was all done. Thank you for your support.
These are all excellent questions to ask your doctor.

As already mentioned, WLS does not lower a normal blood pressure. It only lowers blood pressure that is elevated because of the excess weight, so you don't need to worry about that.
According to the info sheet I have from the bariatric surgeons that I work for, Pradaxa isn't contraindicated for bariatric patients, but it is on the list of drugs that can result in stomach ulcers/bleeding and so is to be used with caution. For all of the drugs that may cause stomach issues, if there is another medication that is an acceptable substitute but carries a lower incidence of stomach problems, the alternate medication should be considered.
Your surgeon should be well aware of the concern with Pradaxa after bariatric surgery (and hopefully is aware of the lawsuit as well).
