OH we need a "LIKE" button
Actually, I hope they don't add that feature. If I like/agree/etc/ with someone's comments, I prefer to tell them what I liked or agreed with. I think it works on FB simply because the topics are vast and varied and mostly shallow (imho). With a site such as this with a directed overall theme (obesity/weight loss) the conversations are exactly that - conversations.

What's Facebook? I see people mention it a lot.
A place where people go to share all their intimate secrets with total strangers who they call friends because someone they once met once met someone who met someone else five years ago during a drunken party they can't remember. But it's OK because they are friends. But it's old hat now - youngsters don't sign up because they know their parents do nowadays.

Haaa! Exactly! And I'd like to add the ability to update the entire world every 5 minutes on what they're doing because it's ever-so-interesting. ;)

I can't copy photos etc from my iPad. But here's a paraphrase of a lovely thing I got sent today.
I decided to make some new friends in real life, working on FaceBook principles.
So I went out in the street and stopped strangers and told them what I had eaten, what I was going to eat, what I did yesterday and how I felt. Then I told lots of them I liked them and I even poked a few.
It's really worked. I already have three people following me; a police officer, a psychiatrist and a psychologist.

LOVE it! (And that's even better than "liking" it)

I think another problem is that it would become a popularity contest.
One of our beloved members on here counts the views to her posts and gets really pissy if people don't reply. I NEVER look at the views on my posts, but clearly this person believes it means something so I can't imagine how upset she would get if she didn't get the number of likes she thought she deserved LOL!
