Hi Everyone,

New to this board and to the world of VSG. I have a quick question and hope someone might have some expereince in this area. I had my gall bladder removed back in the late 80's and have the wonderful long incesion line vertical from under my right brest slanting toward the right hip.

Would anybody have any experience with having the VSG and this type of incesion? Does it pose any complications that I need to be aware of?

TIA for any responses received!

Hi HopefulSleever2015,

Post this on the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy Forum (VSG) for responses from those that have had the VSG.

Good Luck!

I believe most VSG are done laproscopically so I don't think it will make any difference. I'm sure your surgeon will be able to handle it, you can't be the only one this way.

any previous abdominal surgery will increase possibility of running into adhesions or scar tissue during attempt at lap surgery which may require change to open
