What 2,000 calories look like
Straight from the New York Times.....What 2,000 calories look like. Knowing is one thing but seeing the 2,000 calories (and more) is another.

I know, me too! Not to mention the cost, I'd rather eat at home where I know the ingredients and what I'm eating.

Isn't it great that since having surgery, you can't imagine eating that stuff.
It is info like that on the NY Times that makes me pause and think back because that's the way I ate - thus needed WLS.

Thank you so much for posting this! I am going to show it to my children. It is such a great visual way to explain to them what their dad and I mean when we say a food or treat is very rich. My college aged daughter has gotten into a habit of eating at restaurants instead of at home. (She lives at home this year.). We have been concerned that she does not realize what she is eating. Thanks again!
I'm glad that the post helped you and hopefully your children. It is one thing to know it in your head but the visual of seeing that "food" and knowing I used to regularly eat that stuff made a big impression on me.
Thanks for your reply post!
