Thanks for the advice and I will sure read all I can.

I have another problem which is bigger and that is my husband doesn't want me to go through with it because he is very scared about me having surgery. (Understandable ) but I need the help, and the fact that we all need food to live is just making weight loss hard for me As it is for everyone.  I have an appointment on 29th may and I'm both excited and scared. To feel full and satisfied without eating the fridge would be amazing.

I hope I'm not rambling on and not making sense.

Thanks for listening

would he not want you to. Have surgery if you had cancer either? What about a broken leg? What about a bad appendix? He would rather you die than have surgery to get it fixed? WLS is exactly the same thing. You are trying to save your life here.

I will add also to just embrace the change it may mean eating entirely different but it can be an exciting adventure to learn new recipes and fun new ways to cook. Myself I love to cook and experiment so I loved trying things I wasn't used to eating. Maybe set one day a week to try a new food or recipe and have hubby help pick the food or recipe. All the diets are basically lots of protein and then veggies so you have many things to pick from for new tasty foods, it doesn't have to be dull and unappetizing.

I also strongly urge getting some therapy since most of us really need some and some need lots, but it will really make the journey easier to deal with. I really believe the journey is 90% mental and 10% diet! Best of luck to you!
