Cheeses: calories, protein, and carb information
3B, SO did NOT think I'd put in a "loser" emoticon in response, I am so sorry if that's what showed up! Yikes! Just clarifying!

Mmm cheese!, luv cheese, but ooh girl, the calories! Yeah some of it gives a good amt of protein, but some of the calories is just too high for me right now., but whenever I do snack, cheese is my go to item. I figure if something is 100 calories, I want at least 10 grams of protein in it. I try to keep that ratio while in weight loss mode.

This is also my rule of thumb! 1 gram of protein per 10 calories :) It seems like a decent one.

That's my surgeon's recommendation for protein bars, and it works pretty well for other snacks too!

I love cheese and nuts. Both are healthy. But yeah, I could eat a gazillion calories of either. I have to consider them more as treats than staples.

If I had to label myself, I guess I'd be a lacto carnivore. The last green thing I ate was some old and iffy looking cheese. Vegetables? I'm not really sure what those are. Most WLSers discover that fruits don't fit very well into our new lifestyle. Not in nearly the quantities that are usually recommended by "experts" at least.
I never recommend this way of eating to others. I have no agenda to encourage. No proselyzing here. But it works very well for me, and fits this lifestyle really well.

I worked with a guy years ago who ate the same way you do. He called vegetables "plant life". When I would order the catering I had to make sure he didn't have any veggies in his meal.
